"Screww windows 98 and the lot. Go Linux and no problems mate. This driver couldn't help an Eskimo find ice. Too bad but I've moved on since the request. Lots of good stuff here tho'. Keep looking for what you need."

"Win98SE, after extracting to the default directory, "Update Device Driver Wizard" says "unable to locate a driver for this device". I guess it's looking for a *.inf file but none is present.

Note: "jdusb2.exe" DOES work for a 1Gb Lexar Firefly in Win98SE, but not my 8Gb Lexar JD Secure ll+ I need a driver for."

"i have a generic USB flash drive from Staples, trying to install it on a win98 se system, was not able to get this driver to recognize the device, but I dont think it was the driver's fault"

"I had tried to use a Windows 98SE driver for the USB JD Firefly which was downloaded from the Lexar web site. That driver did not work.

This driver here DID work with Windows 98SE and the USB JD Firefly, although it took a couple of attempts to do the job.

Importantly, Windows 98SE apparently registers the USB JD Firefly device as a HDC (Hard Disk Controller), so
