"Your CD version V7.73B is the drivers version number for your onboard sound,video and modem etc. It has nothing to do with your BIOS version that your looking for. Look on your motherboard lower left corner (below the white PCI slots) There should be a number like REV 1.6(That's an example) That revision number you should match with the correct revision number of the vario

So I restarted my machine to disable USB in the bios.

Now I have nothing on my machine.

"how can I be sure that I've got the right bios on my motherboard? The ID string tells me 62-1212-001437-00101111-071595-sis730s. eSupport.com software tells me that it is an "American Megatrends" bios,that 001437 means PC CHIPS as the manufacturer, and that it corresponds to a M810LR motherboard. But the versions described by PC Chips (on their site) don't correspond to
