"Brilliant!

I was really panicking, as I had just purchased a Cyber-shot P30 off EBay and the driver on the CD would not load on my XP PC,

I was not happy I can tell you!

But I located this diver, downloaded and installed it and it works just fine!

I am sure it is must be the original driver supplied on the Sovy software disk, but you can actually install this o

"When connecting my NEW Sony DSC-P10 Digital Camera to my Windows XP Professional Laptop I got the message to locate the file SONYPVU1.SYS. Downloading this zip of Sony USB drivers and running the setup did the trick - plus it appropriately installed the driver in the c \windows\system32\drivers folder. THANK YOU!"

"My Sony DSC-U10 worked before on my WinXP but I don't know what I've done it failed to work now. WinXP can detect the presence of my camera but did not show up as a drive. This driver did not work either. Anybody have a clue?"
