Ralink was a technology company that primarily manufactured wireless networking chipsets. The company was formed in Cupertino, CA in 2001, and then later moved its headquarters to Taiwan. Ralink produced products such as the RT2420 or the RT2525 WiFi ISM band transceiver. Ralink was acquired by another chipset manufacturer called MediaTek in 2011. MediaTek is a Taiwanese-based company that develops chips for networking products, as well as mobile devices, TV’s, and electronics for automobiles.
