"It worked but you have to chose to install from a specific location, then you have to select the "don't search. I will choose the driver to install". Then it seems to install fine but boy howdy, what a bother."

"Thank you! At last the solution to the Esupport button on the 8100. Microsoft's online help comes close to answering the problem, the only trouble is, after you've upgraded to WXp, the driver is no longer there. A session with Dell's chat support (lousy) ended in no help at all (amazing). All they both need to know is that you have to get this driver and update the &qu

"I updated the Unknown driver by going into the Device Manager and selected "have disk". I then went to where I had the file mt.inf, selected it and Bingo, Everything worked great! Now all my yellow exclamation marks are gone! Since I am not using the E-Support button built into the Dell Dimension 8100, the driver may never really be used. Thanks, for the driver!&

"It's a bogus item from Dell, but the driver works fine. You cannot give a system back to a client with an "unsupported device" flagging itself! If it was my PC it would have stayed "unsupported"!"

"Executable would not install on XP even with anti-virus disabled. Dell's miserable E-support button is still faulting at start-up. Hand me my wire cutters!"
