Downloaded mirascanv403u08.zip to get a new driver for my Acer ScanPrisa 640UT scanner. I have Os WinXp pro. I got a warning from Microsoft not to use this driver because it can damage my Os. What to do now? Must I buy a new scanner?

"why is it that this driver is so great in size? It's a scanner driver which sould only be about 2-3 mb. Either that or why is it so that the zip file is so great in size?"
