"This driver is easy to install if you know what to do...

Down load the driver and save it to your desk top

Right click on My Computer and select Properties

Click on the Hardware tab

Click on the Device Manager

Expand the Monitor node and double click on your monitor

You are now on your monitor properties dialog box

Click on the driver tab and select Up

"I downloaded this and followed the directions for install but when I got to the point where I had to locate the file it did not show up in the box to select it. I tried several times with the same results. This file did not help me at all."

"INF file is smaller in size than others available and others available also include the ICM file. Keep looking unless you want to copy & rename just any* (and they come in different sizes) ICM file that this DL will be lacking.

There are DLs on this site that include the ICM file. I also ULed one that contains the User's Guides from eMachine. This INF file will wor

"Excellent. Save the driver to a folder. Boot the computer and let the windows new hardware foud window guide you to browse to folder that you saved the driver in. Click click click and you are good to go!

"I did the manual install but had to rename a standard rGB ICC file to the name of the ICM file that was missing It didnt sem to change anything but since i had to use the standard ICC profile its basically the same as using the standard XP driver"

"This did the trick. Figuring out where to install it was a chore. I had to start the XP in vga mode and then I could go and installthe driver from the monitor - driver tab. It finally worked though."

"emachines is f'd up if you ask me! there is no driver availible for my eView 15p! my moniter works fine, but i want the driver written specificly for this moniter and not some cheap windows "Plug & Play" driver that is used for most moniters! if anyone finds this driver please email me at x_orange90_x@yahoo.com."

"The damned thing doesn't include the .icm file! Now, I am condemned to 16 colours, and 640x480 resolution! I HAVE A MONITOR WITH 32 BIT COLOURS and 1024x728 DEFAULT RESOLUTION!"

"THe .inf file was recognized by my Win98 machine, but then it asked for the disk with the rest of the eMachine files.

Witout that, the install doesn't work."

"This sucks, It doesnt work at all. Missing the eView17.ICM part. The bad thing is that www.eMachine.com also suck. They do not provide any drivers to their "stinky" monitors. Even though they claim to be cheap!? it shows Poor Mans Web-Site made in USSR."

"The .inf file allows my computer to recognize the type of model but all I get in return is an error message asking for the "eMachines Monitor Installation disk" which i don't have... seeing how it is only the monitor and not the computer. What should I do? Someone please help... THX"

"This is not a driver, just an info file. However, if anybody knows where I can find the drivers for an eView 15s monitor so I can get this thing out of 16 colors, it would be greatly appreciated. I hate looking at the world through 16 colors."

"If you run the info module in Sisoftsandra you'll see the monitors are made by different companies. My 17f is actually a Sampo AlphaScan 777. aciddreams needs to ask MS why they have a monitor driver in device manager, as soon as he comes down."

"I see we have a bunch of moroms here. The monitor does not actually have a driver, it works off of the video card driver. The monitor.inf file is the file that tells the monitor how to react to the video card and keep the monitor settings in check. open it up and look you will see all the settings for every monitor that it operates. your comp has a monitor.inf file, open i
