"My comment is appended to the note that came with the driver:

Close all open applications and stop any non-essential services before you install. If the install sticks on searching for your printer then go to the Hardware devices list in System on Control panel, find the printer (it'll have a yellow exclamation mark on it and probably be in unknown devices) and update

"Actually I was not able to rate this driver, because the equipment is bad, does not work at all. I am very disappointed with lexmark, how could They sale this machine (Lexmark X63) whitout testing. Ihave bought a Lexmark Z605 and that work perfect."

"Also this driver was not acepted as the good driver for my modem.

Therfor i have installed an other 2nd hand modem:

Conexant HCF V90 56K Data Fax RTAD PCI modem.

Today i downloaded the SP22790.exe to traying this on my Wondows XP system."

"worked on clean installation, but failed after a few days. Gives printer busy requiring reboot and prevents laptop from going into sleep mode."
