"Olay, let's be fair about this. The BackPack drives are old technology. requiring a parallel port and either DOS or early version of a Windows OS, in some cases Win 3.1. I would not even contemplate trying to find Win 3.1 and installing it on a newer PC, but some might think DOS is still viable, and I did find a site that offers a free download of various DOS versions tha

"hmmm its a sys driver which means it goes in your config sys... and it uses a device= command then you use mscdex in your autoexec.bat and wow... it works perfectly"
