"Well, the board is okay.

Note that you may only partially trust the

performance and data integrity of the chip set in terms of IDE buses.

There might be a bug, some timing or incompatibility issues.

However, I can only give some guesses, because I use the board since

2001 and I am quit satisfied.

Using a DAWI Control I/F like the

Dawicontrol PCI DC-133 Ultra DMA Raid (retail)

which is much faster than the onboard controllers

good experience is made even with a dual channel

Adaptec 2940 UW.

Sometimes the BIOS is a bit strange but it works.

Note finally that todays Mainboard play in an other liga

of speed however, some orders of magnitude higher.
