"Downloaded the driver because Win XP Device Manager was looking for a driver for the GS Wavetable Synthesizer after I did a restore from disks to e-machines T6212. Extracted the files. Installed those files which could be installed, checked that the appropriate files were in Windows/system 32, but Device Manager could not install the driver and the error still appears ne

How to Update Microsoft Kernel DLS Synthesizer Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
