This driver is a re-release of the 2559 WDM drivers with the updated 2560 Windows XP drivers.
Also included is Chris Day's Aureal Tools patch and the A3D 3.0 SDK for Visual Studios.
This driver is known to work better than 5.12.01.3133 driver provided by WindowsUpdate for Windows XP/2k3 and still supports hardware acceleration of DirectSound3D and A3D.

Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
Select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.
In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
