"its a firmware upgrade and not a driver , but a good detector for cdroms as primary or slave drive using even older 40wire ATA cables, Usually there are software of harddisk detector, I would advise using this detector as your last choice to detect cdroms and place it as master and your harddrive as slave, it should work, as for a driver version of this, I would not say it

"hope this works, have just got a mitsumi cd-rw and dont have the installation disk.......spent hours searching for a driver.... mitsumi website is useless!!!!"

"Mitsum CD-R/RW was loading as regular CD and not as a CD-R/RW, thought it was a problem with the CD-R/RW, after extensive research, some versions of the cd creators software does not recognize Mitsumi as a CD-R/RW and will only recognize it as a CD-ROM. According to Mitsumi, it is normal for the CD-R/RW to show up in the device manager in windows control panel as a regular

"Just got done downloading the file and I hope it works. Mitsumi is the manufacturer of the cd-rw drive in my HP, even though it calls itself a cd-writer plus.... for some reason my comp decided it didnt need the drivers anymore and my burner quit. SO I've been on a mad search for em for the past few days."
