"If you use Win9x+ on a non pnp machine, also download the package containing the DOS driver to set up the hardware of the network card, write down adress and IRQ setting, open the device Manager of Win9x+, open the network cards properties/resources, uncheck "Automatic configuration" and change the adress and IRQ settings to the values you wrote down.
