"Igors comment on copying the mentioned folders to the setup folder worked! It can now find the _setup.dll(s) and install worked. I have win98 and scanner now works again"

"Error Setup.dll still can't be found for me also when trying to install this. The reason for for trying to install is I upgraded to Win2k and got "failed to adjust to an adequate color balance value". This does not work at all in Win2k"

"This is for everyone who is getting an error message for SETIP.DLL I had the same problem and here is the solutions. after you unzip all the files copy these folders (000A, 0007, 0009, 0010,0011,0013,040C,0404,0804,0816 1,0013,040C,0404,0804,0816) and paste them into SETUPDIR folder then you will be able to install! Good Luck!"

"Under search use fb-745 ( I used "imagereader" in search but she has model# with dash) submitted by Nana's Notions Dot Net. No problem installing and seems to work. Good luck."

"Why is it when people create drivers they can't ever make a correct working one. People can be so lame. Oh yeah, i got that same Error 103 No Setup.dll even those i downloaded one using 98se nd i bet yeah it going to be the same for ME"

"fixed_FB745.exe worked fine for me on Win ME. IMHO, The reason it didn't work before is that the Info setup prog looks for _SETUP.DLL in the subdirectory SETUPDIR\0009\ (The 0009 may vary, depending on your setup language). It doesn't even look anywhere else."
