"I would intermittently loose hand shake, and drop connection. After loosing connection modem would stop responding causing me to reboot the system to get the modem to work right again."

"XP reported "Contained no info on selected device". I'll keep trying to see if i can get it, as XP detects it as a "Best data data modem" (something like that)and when i query the modem i get info back but when i dail my ISP, the modem doen't make a sound ( ie XP is unable to speak to the modem)."

"I've an old RS56/sp pci modem over it it's written Conexant, on the old cdrom with old win98 drivers there is a directory called Rockwell and I also tried a motorola driver! What can I do ?!??! All generic soft56k 4 WinXP are not ok. The modem works but I cannot control it's terrible and noisy loud sound!! The sound of the connection continue to play while I navigate thro

"XP reported "Contained no info on selected device". I'll keep trying to see if i can get it, as XP detects it as a "Best data data modem" (something like that)and when i query the modem i get info back but when i dail my ISP, the modem doen't make a sound ( ie XP is unable to speak to the modem)."

"This is the driver I also found from the conexant site which works perfectly except for the fact that the modem speaker stays on, despite turning it off in the settings. If anyone knows the solution for that, I'd be pleased to know."
