Here it is folks... That ****in XP driver for the CMI8330. Follow thoie instruction and cross your finger.
its works for me and many others.
I installed the 8330wdm-417 drivers from the CMedia website (www.cmedia.com.tw/8330/8330wdm-417.zip).
I then used Device Manager to choose drivers for the SB16 Driver and the CM8330 Audio Driver (just choose the default ones that come up when you choose to find the drivers yourself). Then manually switch the IRQ ports for the SB16 Driver to use IRQ 7 and the CM8330 Audio Driver to use IRQ 5 (the opposite of the way it is configured by default). Restart the system and cross your fingers.
Hope this helps some of you out there.
