This file contains the AMI Bios upgrade for a Packard Bell Platinum I PC with the PB 640 motherboard. Also included is a GIF picture of the motherboard that shows all the jumpers, including the one to clear the bios password. This file will update your BIOS to version 1.00.07.CP0R. It does NOT fix the issue of long search times for IDE devices at boot. You need to DISABLE any IDE devices in the BIOS that are not physically connected. I am running Windows ME with the new bios and the system is as stable as ME can get.
