"I installed this Bios and my computer no longer recogonized my hard drive. I had no problem re-installing windows XP as a clean install, formatting the drive along the way. This traded my eMachines logo with one from HP which can be turned off in the Boot options. Many thanks for this one.

Happy Trails,

Jack"

"IF you are using an Emachine, after upgrading the BIOS, you MUST go into cmos setup and auto-detect the hard drive. If not, the Bios does not recognize your hard drive and you get a blank screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner."
