"Install was simple with xp using the add hardware function in control panel.

selected do not searh for driver, navigated to the downloaded driver and xp did the rest. Thank you DriverGuide.com"

"Sorted out the dreaded "only 36K" speed issue, needs to be installed from the device manager via "specify loaction" so remember where you extracted the file to."

"Modem worked some time, after that somehow he couldn't make a connection width provider. After reinstaling driver everything worked ok."

"IMPORTANT: for this to work, download the driver, then physically remove the modem. reboot, then shutdown, install the modem, and reboot again. I used a second PC to download the driver to CD, then transferred it to my main pc. XP will not recognise the driver/modem otherwise. you have to fool it. Make sure it knows there is no modem, uninstall it from system, then remo

"Worked a treat. Fixed problem with Safecom Intel 536 modem. Was getting 24k connection with supplied 4.6 drivers downloaded latest drivers from Intel site still 24k. Took advise and downloaded 4.43 version from here now getting 42k connection.

Spot on!!"
