Additional Notes

The modem is the HCF 56K speakerphone PCI Modem installed in the HP Pavilion 6460. It is a modem/sound card combo. It is made by Smart Modular Technologies. I have worked for days trying to get this modem to work with XP. Finally got it with this driver. Both the modem AND the sound work!! It won't recognize it as the speakerphone when you're installing it, it will see it as a 56K data/fax modem. It's the file winacpci.sys that XP looks for! Here it is... Good luck!
