"worked great with xp pro. after you unzip it go to divice manager>update scanner driver and specify the location of were file was unzipped"

"OK.............here goes,

My Scanner worked fine, then I decided (for various reasons) to format the hard drive and re-install XP again.

Oh what "fun & joy" getting all the hardware up and running again!

XP works fine, no trouble re-registering, but the scanner driver will not instal at all.

Help & Support tells me that this Canoscan FB630U is

"This driver doesn't work with windows xp. Downloaded fine. works for win 98, 2000, and me. The files that it list are not the same files that downloaded. many different. Please contact me if you have any feedback... Plus I would like to uninstall driver and there are no uninstall files... doesn't even show up in ad remove programs"
