"Had REAL problems finding the right driver - found several on this site. The first one I found works great.. so far.... ;-) NOTE: My system identified the correct driver as "82801 DB/DBL - not "DBM""

"Worked perfect for a gateway XP, Driver exact name needed was "intel 82801db ich4 ac'97 audio controller" But this worked fine so must ne the one! Mother board I believe was Intel Rexburg"

"after searching many of the drivers. this one worked for me on Windows XP. I had deleted my Multimedia Audio Controller. This got my sound back. thank goodness."
