Sigmatel manufactures two main sets of USB-IrDA chips the STIR4200 support USB1.1 and IrDA data rates from 9.6Kbps to 4 Mbps, depending on infrared transceiver. The STIR 4210/4220 and 4116 support USB2 to IrDA and speeds from 9.6Kbps to 16 Mbps, depending on infrared transceiver. If infrared transceiver type VFIR from Vishay is used, the 16Mbps is possible.
