"I am amazed that I actually found the correct driver for this piece of "legacy hardware" an external, parallel port, Hewett Packard, 7500 series, CD-Writer. Your website must be the best place to find the driver for just about anything. Thanks. I will attempt a different driver for this same piece of hardware on a different laptop, running an older version of

-Restart with connected and switched on the ext. device

-In Device Manager choose Update driver and redirect it to C:\WinXP_LPT_Driver map

-Finish and restart

Perfect driver!

"did not install all the drives after setup installed said it needed setup disk 1 to complete the installation this joker didnt give us all the files needed to run the burner."

"When win Xp gives system may become unstable click continue anyway. It will work ok. Not sure of this driver but it does it for loads of stuff."
