"I installed this on my XA-s and now I can hear sound again. Many thanks! I tried to see if I could record, but had some difficulty getting that to work. Got some intermittent results, maybe I'm doing something else wrong. I don't really need that ability. I'm really happy to have sound again, and that seems to be working well."

"This driver worked like a charm on my newly upgraded HP Kayak XA-s. Originally I had it working with Windows NT 4.0 (sp6), but when I upgraded the OS to Windows XP (professional), it stopped working. Now, thanks to this driver I'm happy listening to some music."

"This driver works on my HP Kayak XA. At first it seemed to have a problem with my cable modem and my ethernet, but I just unplugged my cat-5 and replugged it. Now it is working fine. Thanks!"

"I have an ISA based sound card that is an ad1816. These drivers installed and Windows XP states that the hardware is functioning correctly. The devices are set as the default devices for playback, but I get no sound from it. Everything seems to function like sound should come out, but there is no sound. Everything lpays fine from Windws 98, but the XP install still is p
