"Tried it with xp pro and it crashed the system, ruined the driver file apparently. I believe it was probably the actual modem that was part of the problem."

"The drivers that came with my modem worked as a modem but not as a fax. I just got a general say nothing error. This driver fixed my fax problem under XP. Thanks Igor"

"I run an INAKAM Intel Ambient V90/92 data fax voice PCI modem. This driver did not work with Windows XP when I first tried to istall it, but it worked (and works) just fine when I updated the modem driver to these files in Safe Mode."

"This works great. Thanks. For those of you who can not use the program, after download extract to my documents. Then creat a new folder and name it to what ever you like. Drag all files into then close. Go to Device Manager, select your modem and click, then to update driver and click again, then check the advance users box locate your driver in My documents and click ok.

"I saved it to the desktop then unzipped it to a new folder on the desktop. I then scanned it for virus, no virus. I then went to device manager and asked it to update diver from the new folder. It went in like a charm and it told me it was compatible with XP. It works just fine. What pleases me is that I had a driver that said on the disk it was for XP but it was not co

"Thanks for the driver worked no problem. Hardest bit was to locate the file ,I found it easier to send the unziped files to a floppy then instal from there"

"This is a V92 driver and 'upgrading' with this will not work in the UK. No ISP impliments V92, as far as I know, and seems to roll back to 33,600, which is what I get in the first place with the drivers supplied. What is required is a V90 driver that will give faster speeds than 33,600. I have not found one yet. Buy the modem in the green box - Conexant chipset HCF - that

"Thought I had skanked it as our regions telephone network went down 15 minutes after I downloaded - now working perfectly. My suggestion to anyone having trouble is to ensure the file is unzipped correctly - I know it's easy but after upogfrading to XP recently, I had downloaded the short Winzip - not the classic. "My modem works fine before upgrading it. But I thought it was connecting in a low speed 44Kbps. but now after upgrading it it connects at 26.4Kbps evrytime. I just rolled back the driver and got it working with the old drivers at 44Kbps. Don't know what to do!!!! is that the best speed it gets??? -("

"I'm sorry, i didn't give an explanation how to work with this file, first of all, after download, make a new folder somewhere and call it as you like, then extract those 4 files into that folder. Then Right click on My Computer/ Properties/Hardware/ Device Manager, in front of Modems, press wee plus, then right click on your modem &press Update Driver, new window'll appear
