"Since I bought this scanner the driver provided never worked properly and it would corrupt before finishing the installation,so I used the windows program for scanning.The driver provided by driverguide works perfectly well and I even have the control of the scanner lamp,which allows me to turn the lamp off and save the lamp's life.Thanks a lot."

"I had installed VistaScan, but the "copier" results had green and yellow streaks down the side. I uninstalled, rebooted and loaded up this driver and it seems to work okay now. Thanks! (It IS a rip to have to pay for UMAX support! I use XP Pro.)"

"i have tried.. well.. [almost] everything. i have uninstalled and reinstalled. then i found these patches. i installed vs355u.exe and restarted. then installed 2xxxupdater.exe and restarted again.. still "USB device not found". i also finally got the "ADD/REMOVE HARDWARE" utilility to recognize and add the "Umax2100U Scanner" in the Device Manager.. restarted and still the
