"I downloaded the file with no trouble. Now when I try to install, I am told that I need fxcfgwz.dll so can't really tell if the other one worked, but thanks for your trouble"

"YAHOO!!! It worked. I've hated XP so far because it has caused me nothing but grief. I've spent over 6 hours on the phone long distance with MicroSoft, then ended up having to take my computer to our local computer store to scrub clean and re-install Windows XP and update all the drivers. $207 later, I still had to do all the driver installs myself. to buy a new fax program ... there was one on XP that just needed installed, but I needed this driver. I successfully downloaded the driver, following the instructions given by Ruben. THANKS, RUBEN! I'm a happier camper. I've sent a fax successfully and am just waiting to receive a fax, but I don't anticipate a problem. It seemed to go along well. THANKS FOR THE HELP!"

"Thank you "Try This!" Had no luck getting driver off Install Disk!!Official Disks XP! Went into Windows found Folder I386 and got dlls. (PS-found another folder inside Driver Cache named I386 also.No good.Wizard did rest.Said successful.Was not asked for Install disk. Do not know yet if all successful as I have all-in-one HP that got screwed up with new XP.Tried to downloa

d new drivers for it. Am still trying.Almost forgot-rightclick on folder to check out properties of I386. If it says "read only" that might be the problem also. Unclick read only and add apply with only emply boxes showing.Good Luck also!"

"I have WINDOWS XP I just installed the driver and seems to work. I had to do somthing similar to what Try This wrote on Monday,Jan 27. The wizard asked for the fxsapi.dll. I went to the Browse area look for the C drive, open the folder, choose windows folder again,open the folder, choose the i386, and you will see the FXSDRV.DL CLICK ON IT say ok and bingo you get it!!!&

"Yes downloading the driver doesn’t seem to do anything. I have NT and was able to find the correct driver on my system c \i386\FXSDRV.DL_ and directed the installer to that file which worked. (I had the similar problem of the computer wanting to get the file from the CD.) Once the computer found FXSDRV.DL_ on my computer it configured that then asked for my Office 2000 pro

"Not able to report on effectivenes of fax driver - can't get XP to add it as a windows component. XP seems to want it on an XP installation disk - which I don't have cos my laptop came with XP pre-loaded. Arrrgh !"
