"I'm fairly new to computers. It was an old modem given to me was told to look up the number on the chip Md5628d-l-b and go onto drivers guide and

1-2-3 it was downloaded and installed. Ah! the miracle of new tech. I'm 75 yrs old. Yippe!

#1 JUST UNINSTALL THE DEVICE FROM THE DEVICE MAMAGER

#2 REFRESH THE DEVICE MANAGER

#3 WHEN THE MODEM IS DETECTED JUST INSTALL THE DRIVERS FROM THE FILE WHERE YOU UNZIPED THEM IF YOU NEED HELP JUST ASK I,LL BE PLEASED TO HELP YOU, E-MAIL ME."

"After trying several other pseudo-drivers, this was the ONLY

one that truly worked for WinXP! Even the drivers from the

mfg. CD didn't work! Many, many thanx for posting this!"
