"I downloaded this driver for the intel play me2cam to run on XP but it came with no instructions. I am thus unable to use it. When I try to run it it states that the driver is improperly loaded. PLEASE provide installation instructions with your drivers."

"it should work if it is the same filesystem NT.

there is a backward compatibility module in xp. it will complain that it isn't the best driver and ask if you really want do install it as is.

What i am wondering, if my interface happens to not be USB, i got it on my 9 pin serial port. the chipset should be identical, just a different cabling arrangement, Any thoughts?

"24 November 2003 Downloaded fine ,,wouldnt install until I unpacked it all to it's own directory then replug cam in and choose the directory where I had unpacked to and off it went installing, just a message box saying driver is not compatable with xp pressed "continue anyway" and now is all installed ,,,,thank you Luis"

"For those of you trying to get this to work with XP, I've uploaded an XP version of the Me2Cam driver here www2.driverguide.com/uploads/uploads22/25335.html All I did was edit the .inf file so it would recognize the Intel Play Me2Cam."

"The 1st time I tried to unzip the file, a msg came up saying it was damaged. The 2nd time I tried it, I was able to unzip it, then tried to install the software for the me2cam and it still said it was incompatible with my operating system, which is windowsXP. Then I tried deleting the ovtcamp.inf file per one of the commenters above and it still wouldn't install. Can't see
