"apparently generic driver does not install. all the drivers that you list for this rs56-pci modem seem to be an upgrade (from conexant generic driver). this is reliant upon windows recognizing the card as a modem in the first place, which no xp or w2k i own does. it only identifies card as a pci device. or perhaps my modem is just bad."

"I tried other drivers but I think there were the wrong drivers. This one i'm rating either didn't work or was incomplete. I can't remember which. What didn't work, I just deleted or uninstall them. On another note though, this web service is awesome. I quite frankly have no where else to turn to find the necessary resources or drivers for my hardware. Thank you."

"On HP6535 did not work. I went to hp.com looked up hp6535 and found correct driver. Only 4 drivers' available for this model. One being the Modem. Look for Mac_u211.exe worked great."
