"This driver crashed my Sony PCGFX604 during install and was not recognised as a registered XP product. So it was not much use in my case.

"Installed on a FX101 with XP (no SP1) and got a BSOD (crashed with a Blue Screen Of Death) - installed in Safe Mode, it asked for windows 2000 (?) CD but pointed to extracted files from this zip and it worked.. good luck"

"I have PCG-FX140. After installing I had the blue screen with error message and after reloading the modem didn't work, though it worked with the driver from sony site. The reason why I wanted to update the driver was that it didn't support speakerphone function after installing Windows XP."

"I download the driver at the Sony site and I modem works at 28.8. I then downloaded this driver and I still can only connect at 28.8. Have Sony PCG FX200. Please if any one knows of a driver that works with this modem please let all of us know."

"I have a FX 215 and have tried several times to install this driver. The only way it will install is from the modem control panel and everytime I install it from there it causes a blue screen and reboot. Any indeas would be greatly appreciated. Sony and microsoft were both NO help at all."

"Many thanks for this file. It wouldn't load properly on a normal boot-up, but installed without a problem in Safe Mode. I'm getting a throughput of 52Kbps, the same as under ME. I have a PCG-FX103."

"i recently requested the file for my modem to work on win xp. i downloaded it and tried to install it. i think it installed but it still won't work on my system. i tried many different ways. but still i got no where. but thanks anyway. i will probably just have to buy an external modem. thanks for your help simon"
