"Part I and Part II are on driverguide.com. Extractin g is tricky, because my winzip cannot extract rar, so I used Filzip.

The directory structure '...\SETUP\setupdir' must be kept.

Then it works fine !!"

"This is the driver for the Microsoft Strategic Commander. A device that Microsoft gave up on too quickly unfortuatly. If you can get one, get on :) It takes awhile to get used to using your left hand on it vs the keyboard, but MAN does it make gameing a lot easier.

I can only hope that Microsoft brings it back at some point. Perfect eugonomic fit, easy to program b

"Driver stated it was for Windows 98, but it worked well with XP Professional. No installation problems and it found the device after a short time after plugging it in to the USB hub"

"This driver is fine works with XP Pro. Create a new folder, extract strategic1.rar. You will then have a folder named setup in there, open the folder and extract the strategic2.rar into it. No subseven found in these files they're clean (NAV2002 with latest defs). John Goewert you are the man!.."

"Just follow the instructions. If you extract the rar to the same dir as part 1 it will add an extra level \setup\setup\setupdir move the setupdir up on level to the first setup directory. Then run the setup.exe and it works fine. No virus detected."

"John, Thanks for the drivers, they do work. It took abit of reading and copying, but I got it. Maybe I can help the others. Your directory structure should be \setup ( in this are the files _INST32I.EX_ , _ISDel.exe , etc.) Also in this directory should be the setupdir folder with all the other folders in it. (0007 , 0009 , etc.) If you set it up this way, the setup.

"My mistake it works great, anyone else with the _setup.dll file missing make sure the 'setupdir' from the winrar file is in the 'setup' directory from the first zip file. if you get the error, you did not copy the files right."

"Hi. This driver is bogus. it simply doesn`t work. Since Microsoft won`t provide me with a downloadable driver, I hope to find one somewere else. Does anybody know where one might be?"

"Uh.. these drivers work. You have to extract both to the same directory and then the 2nd file HAS to be unrared. You will get a directory structure like /... files... /setup/... files ... That _setup.dll will be in the /setup/ directory. I tried to post this all as one piece but Driver guide doesn't allow more than 10 MEGS. That's why I put a readme into both files.

"The driver works great, no virus ornothing you just need to dl both strategic 1 and 2 then you have to copy strategic 2 to the same dir as the 1 make sure you add the files to SETUP DIR. I GUESS SOME PEOPLE ARE TO STUPID TO USE A PC AND A SPECIALY READ THE AUTHOR README FILES such people should be eliminated from our society."
